Netflix Premium other households
I spoke to Sky in September or August 2023 and said I wanted to give another household (ie not on my IP address) access to Netflix. I knew this was post rule change but had been told this was possible at extra cost. The advisor / sales person said I needed to upgrade to Ultra HD which I did - at an added cost. I said several times that this was a separate household and they said yes it was fine. It worked for a while then it stopped so I spoke to sky and the advisor said she totally understood and she had done the same with another household. Somehow it got sorted at that time but it stopped again I rang sky and the advisor said at first he thought it wasn't possible, but the. Somehow it worked but has stopped yet again. If you try to sign in it just says this tv/ household is not part of this Netflix account.
I seem to have figured out that the only thing I can do is be at the other household and change households on my phone The bottom line is that only one household at a time can use it and it's not what I'm paying for nor was explicitly assured was possible and ok. The idea of having a third conversation with sky fills me with dread.

hi @Dotty567
I am very surprised by the advice you have been given.
This because when you pay via SKY, you cannot, currently, add the 'extra member' add on for use by family members not in your physical household that is available for those paying directly to Netflix

Re: Netflix Premium other households
Thanks yes that's what I had thought but when I called in August/September I was told if I payid for Ultra HD I could do it. I asked for confirmation of this at least 3 times in the first call and each time I said it was not my IP address. And it was confirmed it 'was a thing you could do' in the second call. Only in the third did I get conflicting information. I just wish Sky could be more consistent and also not try to sell me things that they can't deliver. I suppose I'll have to call them again but it's so dispiriting
