Needing a Q box to get telly working

My local to person has said we need a Q box to get the TV working. We have move the sky box from the top floor to the basement and it is not connecting. He has suggested a Q box will help.

Hi, you don't say how your box is connected. Is it through cable? if you use Sky Q box you'll be able to collect mini boxes and then that will go to any room in your house. Please come back with more details to assist you further  Tx

I suspect they were referring to a Q wireless booster: to be loaned one of those you'll need to call Sky.

But note that's to get a Mini box working.  If you've moved the main Q box then it needs a dish cable.

Yes, I've moved the mini box, which was working before. I have full WiFi in the basement, but the mini box doesn't seem to connect. Thank you for your reply. Have spoken with Sky who said their first appointment would be 31/07!!
