Would this be the best option over Sky Stream, as I find it mad that an older system is double the cost (close to at least), and yeah it does offer recording etc and no loss of channels.
Anyone able to give opinion or help on that!?

No-one posting to this forum has any visibility of the Sky logistics chain.
The most recent hardware manufacturing we can be certain of would have been for the release of the 1TB UHD/HDR box released in late 2019.
Clearly after the takeover by Comcast, attention switched to Glass and Stream.

Do you or anyone know when the last version of the 2Tb box came out in comparison to the 1?
also would Sky stream be better?
I do like the option to record and all. Not sure I'd like stream and read lots of "don't do it" style posts

@James_365 the latest 1 TB UHD HDR box and the latest 2 TB V3 UHD HDR were released at the same time which is around 2019 these boxes are identical except for the size of the hard drive
Stream is completly different and it may be worth while reading posts in the stream forum

I've been looking and I think even a sky agent said that he would go with Q. I think that is best as can pause, FFW/RW, and record without it being removed.
The original order was messed up as something wasn't correctly applied, so from £47.50 (which should have been £44.50), the agent today I spoke to reduced it (according to him with no email proof) to £40.00
may consider cinema

The only difference, if they're both the HDR capable boxes, is that one, and this might come as quite a surprise, has twice the storage of the other (actually more than because the OS takes up the same space on either box)
