I am not a youngster, so I need to know when I got looking for a small replacement tv for kitchen that it will connect to my existing sky mini qbox, I am confused by sellers saying just hdmi or hdmi and usb etc, what does the end that is pink in the mini qbox need to plug into on a new, propable smarter than I am, tv ??

It's HDMI. It will be hard to find a modern TV without at least 1 HDMI socket...

An HDMI port: USB is not involved (but comes as standard on many televisions)
Any current UHD television set would be compatible: avoid 'Full HD' or 'HD Ready' sets unless you are really penny-pinching.
