Hi @Steve+Spurling Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?
I used to have superpowers… But a therapist took them away.

Re: My sky won’t move on from step 1 of updating software
When I turned my TV on about 2pm it said it needed an update, but then hasn't got past step 1 of 2.
I left it going while I've been out for the rest of the day and when I got back, it still stuck.
Turned it off at the mains for 2 minutes and tried again and it's still stuck in the same place

Hi @Lizzy5 The software update message would be from your TV and not SKYQ, you would need to use your TV remote (not the sky remote) to start the TV software update.

Re: My sky won’t move on from step 1 of updating software
Thank you, it was Sky as it had the sky logo, sorry, I probably should have said that!
I went through 'my sky' and followed their help guide and with a bit of turning off and on again and holding the stand by button on the box, it moved on to step 2 which didn't last too long.
Thank you for replying 😊
