My sky tv box is showing an amber light even after rebooting

When switching on the tv with the sky remote the tv comes on and asks for me to press home. When I press home nothing happens. The sky box has a constant amber light instead of green. I have rebooted twice to no avail. Please advise

Have you reset the remote by holding down 7&9 ?

Does the screen go black after that "press home" message or does it stay up? It's supposed to disappear.

I have turned the box off and held the standby button in for 30 seconds and it is now turning red to amber. However there is nothing showing on the tv apart from HDMI1

You won't get a picture unless it goes green
