Hi @AJKe

Remove the batteries from the remote.

Then press all the buttons one by one before fitting new batteries.

Fit new batteries and then

Try completly resetting your Bluetooth remote.
Press and hold 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times.
Then make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

Tried that and no luck I am afraid. Remote does not show red. Light when pressing ? These are brand new batteries only put in this evening

@AJKe
If your Sky Q remote is definitely broken/faulty, if you follow this link it should allow you to do some more troubleshooting and then it’ll send you to a form to request a replacement (apparently this is not available to customers in the ROI).

It may be quicker to purchase a new remote from a retailer or larger supermarket. If you do that as well as the above you’ll have a spare.

So is this a known issue?  Seems to be a few threads that all end with the same identical word for word responses suggesting we order a new replacement remote.

I don't think it's a known issue and it's not something that is often reported here, but out of the millions of Sky remotes in use there will be a few that become faulty.

I'm on here a lot and this is the first time I've seen this topic.

@Forever+Customer

Back in May 2023 the OP posted that

topic: My sky q remote keeps saying low battery even with new ones and then stops working shortly thereaft(er).

That is not a known fault and I too have not seen other threads with that particular scenario. Customers have reported faults with a remote in general and the link provided allows you to do some troubleshooting before having to potentially order a replacement.
