Some programs that I record are at 30 minutes or an hour. So I think that's where I last watched them. Then when I get to the end. I realise that I haven't watched it from the start.

Hi @Louise+p1
Part watched normally happens if you have watched the channel during recording. This can be briefly or inadvertently.
Also the same can happen if you are tuned to the channel when you set the recording.

@Louise+p1 if you channel hop and goto the channel you are recording even for a second the box thinks you have watched the channel and marks it as watched to that point

But it shouldn't do this. Especially when you have a lot recorded. You end up missing a lot. This technical fault should be fixed by sky. We all pay enough for it!! 😳

No, it's quite deliberate.

No need to miss anything @Louise+p1
All recordings that are shown as part watched have a Watch from start option

How does the above account or the fact that several recordings made during a recent period when we were out of the coutnry show as being part watched on our return? In a couple of cases alternate recordings of a daily programme show as being mostly watched. This is definately a fault which Sky should be addressing.

Do your neighbours have a key?
🧐
Can't say I've ever noticed this.

I wasn't on the live channel even briefly when I recorded the programme I wanted & it was still halfway through today when I went to watch it. It's annoying & never happened with the old HD box.

Do you have a Sky mini box as well which someone else in the household uses?

No mini box. Just the sky q box.

Who are these "lots of people" you refer to? The most common cause of this was explained further up this thread.

We have this same issue. Random recordings show as part watched even though we haven't watched them and we haven't channel hopped and watched the channnel that's recording. And no, nobody is doing anything on our mini box upstairs. Been happening for a while.
