My sky q box isn’t working properly.

My Sky Q box doesn't register any recordings, purchases etc. it just shows please wait on that screen. Same with Catch up TV. On demand on screen boxes are empty same with some other screens.  I've tried switching off and on at the mains, updating software, and doing a reset. It is an old box, time to replace?
