My SkyQ and Mini Box have often had connectivity issues where we can't watch TV from the Mini Box or sometimes both. We noticed this happened a lot in the evenings. We had a sky booster box between the two. We were on a sky broadband package. We decided to have fibre optic installed from Gigaclear which was installed two days ago. We have a second node to boost the signal to the back of the house where the Mini Box is. The Sky Q Box seems to be working fine, but despite many attempts, we are struggling to connect the mini box to the Sky Q . When we have connected it, the connection has broken within seconds. We have discussed it with a Gigaclear engineer who suggests we may need a new Mini Box (we have not had it replaced for several years).

Afraid that is using WiFi Q Minis will not connect to 3rd party WiFi or Extenders or nodes.
They will only connect to Sky WiFi and/or the main Q box WiFi or a Q booster.
You will either have to use the Q booster (positioned midway between mini and main Q box) or a better option would be to connect your main Q box and the mini to your mesh nodes by Ethernet.
When all Q boxes are on Ethernet you can switch off all Q box WiFi for a more stable connection.
