I have tried everything that may be possible to get my sky to work again , but everytime when switched on it flickeres twice and shows a no signal box. it has been working fine for 2 or so weeks , but for the past 3/4 days it is persistent with not working.

Is this a No signal message?
If so it means that your Television is not receiving the signal.
Make sure that the HDMI is correctly fitted at both end by removing it and then refitting it.
Also try rebooting your Television set by disconnecting the power lead for 30 seconds and then reconnecting.
