My Sky Q box is coming up with a message that my hard drive is not working. I can pause my tv or use my catch up.

You might end up with a box replacement. If so, make sure you keep your viewing card and check the new box power supply matches the old one - there are two possible connectors, one for an external power brick and one that's just a standard figure 8 power socket.
