As @SKY1992bf said, get Sky to send a replacement, but also report the issue regarding the hot remote to sky and take the batteries out as it's a potential fire hazard

Mine is doing the same, batteries really hot so unusable. Have filled in the replacement form but there's no option to add the actual problem.
