My phone line is being disconnected

My phone line is being disconnected in December. Do I need an active phone line to continue using skyQ?

Q television boxes have never contained a 'phone' socket or modem: these were dropped from hardware specification before the last models of Sky+ HD receivers were manufactured back in 2015.

No you don't need a phone line.

 

On demand & catch up & streaming do, of course, rely on an internet connection but not a phone line

Im in the same position as you OP my emplyer is installing (non phoneline) broadband as I work permamently from home and have not used the landline in years. I will have dedicated broadband now with this change.
So I assume the sky box can still connect to the router?

Your Q box does not need a phone line, just a broadband connection either via WiFi or ethernet to the router.
