Have you checked if any unrecognised credit cards have been added to your account?

Is the new password very difficult for someone to guess / acquire from a previous data breach (i.e. you haven't used it elsewhere or just incremented a number on the old one?)

unfortunately for online services to work smoothly, they issue a digital token in the background which can stay valid for a while after a password change. As long as the account still has your email address and no strange cards registered then the villains can't change email or password and eventually that token should expire.

They use the card details to verify themselves as the account owner which is a MASSIVE flaw in Netflix' security model imho, since you can apparently add one that isn't used for payment, without being verified then use it to verify your identity. Frankly bizarre. If they get to that stage they can lock you out of your own account but your CC is still paying!

Just checked and there is a way to force everyone else off your account, go into the netflix app and into your profile, there's a "security & privacy" section. Inside there, "manage access & devices" and you can force sign out on any devices. Might as well do all of them as it doesn't tell you much useful like IP address or country to help identify which are legit.
