my Sky box is making a very loud noise which is very annoying. It did not used to make it when I had it first I would like you to do something about it or I'm afraid I'm going to have to leave Sky as I cannot put up with this any longer

Hi @Bowlingchris I'm afraid you are not talking to Sky here, just other customers. Please see Welcome below for information about this community forum. I would contact Sky and request a box swap.

Assuming this is Sky Q, then first steps would be to disconnect it from the mains and if you have the space, flip the box over and check the fan that is underneath.
These tend to get very full of dust and fluff over time which causes the box to work harder and harder to keep cool. Give that a gentle clean and try and remove gunk with a soft brush or very gently with the hose end of a hoover perhaps.
You also need to make sure there is plenty of space around the box to maximise air flow.
Or, reach out to Sky for an engineer visit so they can sort the box or potantially replace it.
You are talking to other customers here, so follow this link to sign in, do some troubleshooting and reach out for an engineer if required: https://www.sky.com/help/sky-tv/sky-tv-q/fixing-sky-q/fixing-q-equipment/sky-q-box-is-warm-to-touch-...
