My Sky Q box is not powering up

The sky q box is dead and no lights come on. I have checked the power connection which is fine. Yesterday it started making a noise which sounded like a fan whining so I think it's failed.

Make sure you keep your viewing card and also swap the power cable with the box. There are two types.
