Moving sky box but want to keep the old cables too?

Hi. I have a sky q multi room setup and have an engineer booked to move the main box to another room. However, the plans for that room have been delayed so there's no current need to move box.

If I wanted to keep the old cables in place while getting the new ones installed, would that be possible? I could then move the box myself at a later date.

Thanks

Hi @Jas7 it is possible that the engineer would agree to leave the old cables in place but only one can be connected to the dish so you would need to arrange them to be switched over.

There might be a small charge (£65) for a repeated visit.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own
