Moving house but not moving in for 3 months

We are moving out of our current house on 10 May, but going into temporary accommodation for 3-4 months which we don't want to set up for Sky. Had a discussion by phone and suggestion was to disconnect equipment, take it with us, tell Sky we'll contact them when we're ready for installation in new house. My question (that I admit I forgot to ask) as we have to continue paying the monthly fee to them during the interim, can we still access Sky Sports through Sky Go, and  and Netflix through our existing log ins? Ditto - although it's a BT subscription issue - for Discovery Plus for TNT sports.

Any help during a very stressful move would be welcome> TIA

@Stellag yes if you are still paying for your subscription you should be able to use Sky Go and Netflix.

If you wish to watch Sky on a larger TV through Sky Go you would need a laptop with a HDMI out and connect the laptop to your TV

Netflix you should be able to log into any Netflix app so if you have it on your TV

Re: Moving house but not moving in for 3 months

Thanks for the info - very helpful. I don't have an HDMI socket to my MacAir laptop but I do have an HDMI adaptor for it. Would this work for getting Sky go onto TV?

If you have a games console such as a PS4/5 or Xbox One/ Series S / X, you will be able to download the "TV from Sky" application, you will have to download it and log in with your my sky credentials but you will be able to watch it on the big screen without having to use your Mac.

EDIT: You will need Sky Go Extra (Included in Multiscreen free of charge) to be able to do this. Otherwise it's £5 per month.

@Stellag  @ThePope27 you need to have at least Sky go extra to use a games console to watch Sky on

Re: Moving house but not moving in for 3 months

@Laing1

That is very true you do have to have sky go extra, if you have a multiscreen/sky q mini, it is included.

But for an extra 5 quid a month it worth it for a few months rather than getting the mac out everytime to watch something on the big screen

Re: Moving house but not moving in for 3 months

We do have sky go extra/multi screen, but as 70+ pensioners we don't have a games console! Any other workarounds from anyone? It's Sky sports that's the issue for my husband.

Re: Moving house but not moving in for 3 months

The only solution is to either use the Mac and use the Thunderbolt to HDMI adpater or If you have an Apple TV you can install the Sky Go app natively on that without the need of a Mac
