Moving home and don’t want to take sky Q with me but in contract for 2 more months
I'm moving to a new property at the start of June but don't want to take Sky Q with me, I don't want to renew and want to cancel the whole lot (have broadband too but thankfully that is already out of contract and will be cancelled next week) but not able to until I'm out of contract...do I need to do anything or just keep my Sky Q box until the contract finishes and I can return it?

Your contract doesn't finish until you physically cancel it, only your discounted amount automatically finish. You perhaps need to call Sky and discuss terminating your TV subscription. You have to give 31 days notice if out of contract.
Be aware, the latest T’s and C’s for TV subscriptions state you can only cancel within a minimum discounted term if Sky agree to it. If they do allow it you’ll end up paying off the rest of the discounted term.
Select ‘Need more help’ at the bottom of the following link which will lead to contact details.
https://www.sky.com/help/articles/cancel-sky-tv#contact-leave
(Make sure the flag in the bottom right corner is the correct one ie; UK or ROI).
UK customer ~ The link may include an email link and also a Message Us option (which is normally available between 9am and 7.30pm).
ROI customer ~ it’s only by ringing or writing in.
If you cancel correctly you should receive a confirmation email from Sky.
If you’re cancelling Sky Q totally don’t forget it’s very important that you keep you proof of posting indefinitely when you return the box(es) as Unipart are not quick at telling Sky you have sent equipment back. Return packaging will be sent out towards the end of your notice period to the address the account is for!

Re: Moving home and don’t want to take sky Q with me but in contract for 2 more months
Thanks for the reply, I wasn't very clear! I'm aware I still need to actually cancel the service (already have an alert set in my calendar!) but it was more that I don't know if I need to change my address on my account so the returns stuff arrives to the right address or if that will cause issues....I'll have a post redirect set up for a while anyway so that should catch it? But it's more the issue of my home address not matching my billing address thing that I'm worried about...given it's only about a month and a half till the contract ends mid-July I'm not paying £60 just to get it moved!
I was just wondering if anyone else had had a similar experience and any advice on best course of action.
Thanks

@Twister9Just tell Sky your new address, you are supposed to take your Q devices if you move, just don't ask Sky to install it. Remember that you need to cancel at least 31 days before the end of your contract or you will be paying for an extra 31 days.
