Re: Message on tv whe.n trying to use skyq "please ensure the correct viewing card inserted
Hi @Nannybaker
Try This,
- Insert your card into your Sky Q box with the gold chip facing up.
- Press Home on your Sky Q remote, select Settings, then System Info.
- Select Viewing Card Number, then select Setup. The message "Pairing viewing card" will display, followed by "Viewing card paired".
Card activation usually takes a few minutes, but can sometimes take up to four hours. Make sure that your Sky Q box remains switched on until your channels are active.
Once you can watch live TV on channel 106, your card's been activated.

@Nannybaker try removing your card from your Q box the card can be found on the right hand side of your box towards the front
to remove the card
push the card in it should then spring forward
once removed wipe the gold chip with a soft dry cloth
then
put the card back in with the gold chip facing up and puch it in until you hear it clicking into place
