Match result message showing whilst still watching recording

I often record football matches on sky sports and start watching them behind time while the match is still being played. 
I've noticed quite a few times that I get a message in the bottom left corner of the screen that says "this match has now ended"......and gives the final result.

Obviously this spoils things if I then know the result before I've got to the end of the recorded match

Why does this happen and is there a way of switching this off?

Hi @PNG20 

Only way to avoid this is to make sure that the Channel in question is not tuned to when you go to watch the recording.

Most of the Sport I watch is recorded and I make sure that if I'm putting  the Q box into standby I always first switch away from the channel that's being recorded.

That sounds like something generated by the TV rather than the Sky box. My LG has an option to display match results for specific teams (they also appear in the bottom left, is your TV LG too?). You would have to look through the TV menus to find the relevent settings to disable it.

I believe @xenon81 is correct. Its certainly not a message generated by Sky Q so check your TV settings.
