I have had full fibre for 18 months had no problems until the last 2 months. I still think its a software issue in the Q box but no one will admit it.

I've just rebooted the fibre - rj45 box and the router, and my Q box instantly started working again. Didn't need to reboot it this time!
My freezing issue is definitely related to the new Internet line.

Could be a coincidence because it just locked up again.
Rebooted the Q box.
Disabled WiFi so had no Internet at all so I could just watch TV.
5 minuets later it locked up again.
Suggests to me it is just isolated to the Q box firmware itself.

I'm having this same problem, I have a sky router, I took out the Ethernet wire and it worked for a couple of days without crashing, now its doing it every day again .

Is your box on the 280 version of software? Bacause since my box updated last week its been crashing every three days.

Spoke to sky today, ran lots of tests.
Upgraded the firmware, crashed again whilst on the phone with them. They're sending me a new box.

I've had my new box for a few days now and all issues have been resolved.
Seems the box was just faulty in the end

@POLLY56 remember to remove the viewing card from your old Sky box and when swapping make sure you check the cardboard box your new box comes in that you have removed everything including the power cable before putting the old Q box in the cardboard box

Thanks. Viewing card taken out already. Hope i can set new one up ok before hubby comes out of hospital
