Lost skyQ box and not able to return

I have cancelled my sky Q subscription and require to return the sky Q box, however, as we never set up the box it has been lost. What do I do in this scenario? I don't believe equipment should be a subscription and happy to pay the amount for loss of equipment even though the subscription paid up till now should have covered the equipment.

@RussPhillips

You haven't said whether it's a main Sky Q box or a mini box. This link explains the non return charges

Having paid that the equipment does not transfer to you and must still be returned when found. You would then be reimbursed.

Hi @RussPhillips   You I'll be charged the non-return fee. I'm not sure if they then chase you for it, so may be worth contacting Sky to inform them that it is lost.

Thank you. It's the mini box. The link confirm the charges, do I send an email to inform sky the box is lost and that will activate the charge?

@RussPhillips

Sky don't use email as a general communication route. Give Sky a call.

If you already have a Sky Mobile or a Sky Talk landline call free by dialling 150, otherwise you can use:
https://www.sky.com/help/home
UK: Scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0333 number.
ROI: change the flag in the bottom right corner of the link to the ROI flag then scroll down and click on ‘Need more help’ and it provides a 0818 number.
(The forum doesn’t allow us to type the numbers in full).

Similar to calling a lot of large companies the start will be an automated response which may try to send you back to the forum.
