New Q box installed this lost all recordings & downloads , all films I have paid for , how do I get them all back
And why is it so hard to talk to a person now

Go to Home>Recordings>Manage>Deleted
If they are there, you can restore them, by clicking on Undelete against each recording.

I take it you have received a replacement Sky Q box and that all the recordings & paid films were on an old box? Recordings are not transferable from one box to another, you'll need to find them in the catchup service and download them to your new box. Any purchased film can be downloaded from the Purchased section.
