Loss of satellite signal below 4 degrees Celsius

Why is that whenever the outside temperature falls below 4 degrees Celsius I start losing Channels (either blue screen with with Channel currently affected etc,  or freezing after a few seconds and then disappearing),  with only France 24 HD remaining and sometimes BBC Parliament?

I understand that some SP Channels as opposed  to HD Channels will continue to be watchable,  but how do you find these easily?

How long is it since you had Sky Q installed? Could be a failing LNB if it was more than say 5 years ago.

I have only had the Q box for over a year.  The dish is older, but the LNB has several outputs, and is relatively new

@Fourie  It could be that your dish is right on the limit of alignment with the satellite, and when the supporting metal frame contracts in the cold, this pulls the dish out of alignement.  You will need to get Sky to come out and do an alignement check / realign the dish.
