Last night got message when I pressed the home button that Ithe tv did not have Internet connectio

The modem had a red light for Internet. Unplugged the modem and restarted to reset. Got a green light for Internet but tv still stating no Internet connection.  Unplugged sky box and restarted but still no connection.  Sane this morning. Can you please help. Thanks

Hi @Powmillan 

Try a Network Reset found in Q box Home - Settings - Setup - Network.
Highlight Status and then select Reset on the right hand side. Follow instructions to connect by WiFi to your router.
If you are on Sky broadband you will be asked to press the WPS button on the Sky router. (Not on the Q box as the Network reset will start the main Q box WPS automatically). Make sure you press the WPS button on the Sky router and not the reset button.
if you are on 3rd party (non Sky ) broadband then you need to enter the SSID and password for the router 2.4 Ghz WiFi band.

  • Hi oldfella. Had tried that last night, but thought would give it another go in the light of day. Turns out I was pressing the reset button on the modem instead of the WPS button! Now have Internet connection to my TV. Many thanks for taking the time out to help me. You're a star.
