Laptop not connecting to SKY Q box yet once again

I have a Sky Go App on my Dell Laptop which had been working fine (pat Tense) but now it is not connecting to SKY Q box again. This has occured back in June 2022 and the same problem had come back again.

I have tried varous solution such as reinstall the App via SKY Website twice and on second attempt of reinstalling the App, the Record option dissappeared also carried on with the reboot the Laptop and the Router, check the settings but didn't make any difference whatsoever as it failed to connect to Sky Q main box.

When I had this same problem before i had to resort (going to) an independent technical expert ie., "Just Answer" and

(removed)

 issue resolved and Halleluja suprisingly they were the ones who resolved it taking over the screen.

and I can't understand why it would take an Independent expert to resolve the issue and not SKY. (This by the way costed me £40).

 

I have never come across such a rubbish when such a leading Media and entertainment company like SKY that don't have an expert professional technician qualified to rectify this type of issue and I ended up looking elsewhere for the solution plus fork out the cost.

 

I am so fed up with SKY who a branded company can be rubbish when it comes to resolving.#

Have you tried rebooting both your laptop and your Sky Q box ?

Yes I have plus rebooted the Router as well.

Also uninstalled and reinstall the Sky go app and no change except this time the"Reord Tab" had dissappeared.

 

It had been working fine when I had VPN on which I have been told to turn it off  and now I have been turning i off  still the same not rersolved.

 

Also Alt Ctrl + Delete action - no change.

 

Tried everything  but not resolved but would like to know how it takes someone like the independent technical expert  ie., "Just Answer"

 (had to pay £40) to the get the issue resolved.   I need big help (SOS) and advise quickly.

Have you also tried temporarily reducing your firewall settings.

 

on my PC I found that the advanced Firewall seems to block the initial handshake - so if I turn it off whilst I launch SKY Go or click connect to SKYQ it finds the box & I can then turn the firewall back on

Hi,

Thanks for coming back to me but I don't have an Advance Firewall where I can reduce the Firewall settings.

 

As I said that it was working fine but there is no further action that can see why it doen' tconnect.

Twice lst time Sky Go didn't  connect to Sky Q but it did eventually made connection. so it probably has to to be with the Download of the software
