LG to sky box no signal

Sometimes when I switch on my LG tv and my sky box the tv says no signal so it's not seeing the hdmi1 connection. 
I power everything down and then restart and it works. It is happening more often now not just occasionally.

Hi @Hogstar57 When your Tv and SKYQ box are both on standby, turning the SKYQ box on first should turn the TV on sconds later.

Alternatively turn your TV on followed by the SKY box.

Hi @Hogstar57 

Try completely removing and the refitting the HDMI cable between the Q box and TV.

Failing this try a different HDMI cable if you have one.

No further advice than what is already given, but just to say, this has always been the case with Sky Q and LG equipment sadly.

There doesn't seem to be a permanent fix other than blocking pins by buying a 'HDMI CEC Less Adapter', which means you turn everything on and off manually.

Are you long pressing the SkyQ remote's on/off button or just a quick press? A long press turns our LG TV on as well as the Q box. Your problem sounds like it's turning the TV on but not the box.
