Yes true. I tried to edit. 

But we couldn't switch our TV off without thr signal message, which is what got me here. But not thr same issue as others are facing I admit.

Probably done but as it sounds like that (due to wall mounting?) you can't access the socket have tried connecting another device to the tv using the same cable & hdmi socket - games console, dvd player, laptop, pc etc. - to eliminate them as a source of the error?
