I cancelled Sky q weeks ago. On the phone, I told them the boxes were out and gathering dust awaiting the packaging Sky has promised to send me.
I've seen a reply to someone else saying that Sky will eventually get around to sending me packaging. Since then I've had begging emails imploring me to change my mind (even though I'd told them then that I already had Freesat up and working as designed, and there was no going back. Your boxes are gathering dust (be grateful they're not outside gathering rust). Now I'm getting threatening texts reminding me I need to send the equipment back.
Sky, when YOU fulfil YOUR promise to send packaging, I'll have your boxes on their way back instantly.
The more you drag your feet and don't get your act into gear, the more truculent I can get, and believe me, there's a lot more truculent I can get yet.
JUST SEND ME THE PACKAGING YOU PROMISED.

Unfortunately, this is a customer led forum. You are not talking directly to Sky.

Providing you’ve cancelled successfully the returns packaging is usually sent out near the end of a cancellation period, [31 days for TV and 14 days for broadband], to the address that the account is registered at.
You can use any packaging as long as it’s secure and you may want to put a note inside with your account number and a list of equipment that is included. This link explains about how to receive an email with your return labels through Royal Mail.

If you haven’t anything suitable contact Sky again and see if they’ll re-send. Keep your proof of posting very safe and indefinitely as Unipart, who handle the UK returns, don’t appear to be that well organised.

Contractually the onus is on you to return the boxes. Failure to do so will attract charges.
You can use your own packaging and print an label. (Ensure you keep proof of posting)

If you're desperate to get rid of them you can just chuck them in any old box and print off a freepost returns label using the link on here:

Keep your proof of posting or take a photo of the label so you have a record of the tracking info. Sky's hardware returns department is notorious for not keeping track of what arrives.
