I have just got a new 75" 4k uhd tv but connected sky q box and the picture quality is not uhd?
the sky settings only allow me to go up to 1080p
netflix, Disney+, etc look amazing but sky channels look poor.
we have the hd and uhd package
why is this?

@Skyscotty12345 is this your main box or a mini bix the TV is connected to as mini boxes do not output UHD.
If it's the main box then the fact that you cannot change the resolution from the box to 2160 which is the resolution needed for UHD leads me to think you have a non-UHD box
you can check your box at the link below

First thing to check is which SKY Q box you have :
Home - Settings - System Info - Hardware Version
If it is 32Cxxxx then it is a non UHD box
If it is 32b0xxx then it is a UHD but non-HDR box
If it is 32b1xxx or 32B2xxx then it is both UHD & HDR capable.
Depending on your TV you may have to set various settings for the HDMI your box is connected to (assuming it s connected direct) - look for things like Deep Color, Enhanced or HDMI mode & another that I will try to remember - Let us know what Make & model & we may be able to find out what

Did you change your sky q box ,when I got 4k uhd I had the same issue but after talking with sky they sent me another sky q box which had the capacity for uhd , once set up your options on settings change

No details as to the make and model of the tv however there maybe some hdr setting within the tv's setup you need to change..
