JUST HAD MY SKY Q BOX GO BANG AND SKY REFUSES TO TAKE MY CALL!!!

MY SKY BOX JUST WENT BANG WAS ON HOLD OVER 20MINS AND THEN AFTER TRYING TO SPEAK TO SOMEONE THEY PUT THE PHONE DOWN ON ME!!!!!

Well got tol admit that after pposting this and steaming last night where my sky box went bang and lines were shut at 9.00 i ordered a new sky box online and it was delivered by 1pm today and im now sety back up and up and runnng so id like to eat my words well done sky in terms of the replacement it all happened in less than 12 hours to get me back up and running that is fanstic service and the community were really helpful with some of the replies i tried to take the post down off the bullitin board but there doesnt seem to be a option to delete the post?

I've moved your post to the Sky Q board as that's the equipment you have mentioned. As stated above call again when the lines reopen this morning. 

If you do end up needing a new box it might be via a 'doorstep box swap' whereby a courier company (DPD in the UK) deliver a new box and take your faulty box away so remember to remove the viewing card from the old box before it disappears into the van.

@DJ1986  It's unlikely Sky are refusing to take your call, it's more likely you've called at a busy time.

 

Best call back 1st this morning and remain on the line.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

And make sure you swap the power cable too. They are not all the same.

I'm sorry to hear of your initial experience and for the problem with your box. Can I ask if you managed to make the courier aware of the problem with the box?

HI Kev yes i did i personally think it was just due to age i had the same sky box for over 5years and think it had just had its time i thought i would be waiting days if not at least week before getting a new sky box but the fact that they had me up and running in under 12 hours from order to delviery is the bet service iv ever received and the quickest wants to take the post down as i feel sky really nailed this one but someone here advised me once a thing gors up on the community board it cant come down for some reason.

Don't worry about your post being removed. Frustration happens to all of us, and I'd have been annoyed at being disconnected as well. Hopefully no-one else has this fault, however your post may help others in the future 😊

Thank you kev the most frustrating thing of all is once the sky Q boxes all had the connection issue mine stopped working all together so as i said i put it down to length of time i have had the box etc but not being able to speak to someone when i had real issue with the box was the most frustrating thing to me.
