Ive got a replacement sky Q box but cannot get past setting page on restart and remote not pairing

Hi @alan+mcc 

Reset your Q remote by pressing  and holding 7 & 9 together on the remote until it’s led flashes four times. 
This will set it to infrared which will work all Q boxes.   However the remote must be pointed directly at the Q box.

Switch your  box back on and you then you should be able to access the settings.

Once you get the Q box working make sure that you are pointing your remote at the Q box and press 1 & 3 together until the remote led flashes and follow onscreen instructions to re- pair.

May I suggest you try a reset of your remote:

Press & Hold the 7 & 9 until the remote's light (red LED above the SKY logo button) flashes 4 times

Then press 1 & 3 together to go through to re-pair with the box and your TV - make sure it has line of sight of the box as until it is paired it uses Infrared

Hi @alan+mcc Try rebooting your main SKYQ box by turning the power off at the socket for 30 sec then turn back on to reboot?

Hi @alan+mcc 

Did you try just the 7 & 9 without further pairing?

7 & 9 sets the remote to infrared mode which will control all Q boxes without further pairing.

The remote must be pointed directly to the Q box when in infrared.
