Press Home on Sky control. Go to settings. Parental Control, click, enter your pin and turn off everything. This way you won't br asked for a pin when you go to certain channels

OP stated they had done that.  The question was already answered why prompts still appear.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Mandatory Daytime Protection still applies for any channel broadcasting post-watershed content before 21:00

That's typically Sky Atlantic, Comedy, Documentaries and most of the Sky Cinema channels.

53 years old this year yet still treated like a child and charged an extortionate amount for the privilege.

Well done Ofcom and Sky.

I've checked and my mum said it was OK to post this message. Thanks.

@Moz1984-

It's legislation. Ask your Mum if you can get your MP on the case.

That maybe, but it's pointless legislation.

If you have children that have access then I understand, but an adult should be able to make their own decisions.

There are plenty of legislation on the statute books, which you are obviously a big fan of, but many of them are a complete waste of everyone's time, much like this conversation.

@Moz1984-

Where have I said that? I actually agree with you but as I think something has already said on this thread Ofcom would come down on Sky like a ton of bricks if they didn't abide with it.

I apologise if I've jumped to an incorrect conclusion.

But one thing I have noticed is that this doesn't occur with Amazon,  Netflix,  etc.

I'm sure you're only asked once.

I appreciate you are not a Sky employee but I wonder if it's Skys interpretation of the legislation?

Hi @Moz1984-   If you could download or watch live on Amazon or Netflix, the rules would be the same.

None of those services existed when the relevant legislation was drafted: domestic broadband internet access didn't exist two decades ago, and dial-up couldn't possibly support video streaming.

I wonder if it's Skys interpretation of the legislation?

No: it's the long-established principle that Sky is a regulated broadcaster and so is subject to the Broadcasting Code.
