Scratch that- make it a daily reboot because yet again I'm 'waiting for tv schedule' for next Tuesday.
Yet again my series links will not be picked up for next week until I reboot my box. 


To recap: 

All boxes are set to 'eco' (one main box and two minis)

All have the latest software.

Signal strength is good. 
My internet is perfect. No issues there at all.

Apart from this EPG, the box works perfectly, it's a five and a half year old box.

I empty the deleted folder twice a week.

 

Can someone with knowledge of metadata at Sky please look into the possibility that the issue some users have with non stacking and blank tiles could also have issues with the EPG not updating which affects weekly series links not being able to be picked up? It's not affecting everyone but the non stacking/ blank tiles didn't affect everyone else too. As far as I understand it, Metadata is about information being provided to the boxes and an EPG surelyrelies on data to be able to update?

Anyone? Or do Sky just not care? If I knew what was causing this issue then I'd be happier. I'd be even happier if someone with know how knew how to resolve this issue once and for all πŸ™„

Definitely a daily reboot right now. My EPG is once again 'waiting for tv schedule' from 7pm next Wednesday. As it has been for the last three days. Daily series links are not affected, just weekly. So it looks like I'm rebooting this box AGAIN 😑

 

Anyone? Because it's not affecting every single customer there seems to be no interest in those at Sky to investigate this.

 

Usually after a box reboot I can get a few days, sometimes even a week between reboots but this is the worst it's been for several months, it's rare I have to reboot more than twice in a week. Beyond fed up with this now 🀬

Yours is more frequent than mine but it is really irritating.

I had several weeks of no problems after my house was rewired which meant everything was disconnected for three days. I even suggested to my other half that perhaps the problem has resolved itself but whatever this is, it's just started again this week and it's the worst its been for months. Everything else works, I have no issues with anything else just this. I'm going to keep posting when it occurs until it's addressed which will probably be a gigantic waste of time.

I've given up posting here really. 

Mine actually hasn't done it for at least 7 days but Sod's Law says now I've posted this it's gonna happen now!

 

As mentioned previously I fitted WiFi power plugs to easily on/off both the Q and the mini

I can't do that because I have a son with ASD/SLD who has a mini box in his room and doesn't like it if I reboot the main box while he's watching tv- I have to do it when he's in bed which is frustrating when I want to resolve the issue immediately but that is autism for you

Oh Bnanas. Yet again "Waiting for Schedule". Isn' there anyone who can take action on this???? It is beyond belief that there is no one with the ability to sort this in the Sky technical team. It makes you look totally useless. Not a good advert to the world.

We have been having exactly the same problem with our Sky Q main box and mini box. It's approx weekly, happened again today. It's been going on for months. We update the software when it happens and just have to switch the box on and off afterwards. We have in the past also disconnected the plug but it doesn't improve it anymore than just updating the software. I am very disappointed that Sky don't think it is a problem when some of you have contacted them. Also having a new box doesn't seem to have helped others either.

I've had ten days of perfectly working EPG but it's 'waiting for tv schedule' from 7pm next Sunday evening which means until I reboot again, my series links for next Sunday evening will not pick up. 

Ten whole days.  For a brief moment I thought the issue had been finally resolved- that will teach me to get my hopes up πŸ™„

Five days. Currently not managing a week between reboots for this issue. One channel has updated for next Thursday- ITV1 (again) the rest haven't, so all my weekly set series links for next Thursday haven't picked up and won't until I reboot. No idea why this is happening as everything else is working fine and my internet connection is perfect. Would love to know why this can occur.

The box has literally just updated however none of the set series links were picked up so I've had to reset every single one for next Thursday. πŸ™„
