Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Around November time I installed a smart plug that turns the Q box off on and on every 48 hours at 4am.

Not had to manually reboot the Q box or any of the minis since.  At the time I installed the schedule I  was rebooting the Q  about once a week

I have just had to have a replacement Sky Q box due to a HDD fail. I wait to see if I still get the Waiting for Schedule problem on this.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

It's been several months but issue beginning to reoccur. I have 'awaiting tv schedule' across all channels from 7pm next Monday which means all my series links set up for tonight will not pick up.

Have had months of no problems however since the end of last week the EPG has been very slow to update, maybe update partially or like tonight, not at all. Will reboot later tonight but I am hoping this box isn't rearing its pain in the backside behaviour again 🙄

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

And again. Not a single channel has updated for next Wednesday ('waiting for tv schedule'across every single channel)  from 7pm so no series links have picked up for next Wednesday

Here we go again 🙄🙄🙄

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Once again, 'waiting for tv schedule' across every channel across my EPG  from 7pm next Sunday which means yet again, no series links will be picked up next Sunday evening. Seems like this issue is starting to re-emerge 🙄

Would love to know what causes this to happen.m because the  box obviously isn't receiving the relevant information to update the EPG.

Box is set to eco. Has the latest software. Rebooted the box just last week.

It is still an ongoing issue. Sky don't seem to be interested.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Back again. 'waiting For TV schedule' across every single channel on the  EPG from *1pm* this time next Thursday so no series links have picked up/ will pick up for next Thursday.  Why is this happening?  The box obviously isn't receiving the necessary information it needs to update and it is a pain in the backside to have to constantly reboot the damn box every time.😑

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Sky need to sort this I had a new Sky Q box recently, reluctantly because I lost everything that was recorded. I appreciate I may be odd but because there is little that interests me on most channels I record things and watch them over and over so loosing this was important to me. Sky needs to consider people like me before they consider going solely over to Glass. If that happens I will leave Sky.
Anyway back to these issues why don't they listen to customer issues, it's not as if it's cheap!!
Sorry despite the change of box still has all the problems problems with schedules disappearing  and constant dropping out!

Issue still here.

Just an idea - is it happening when Sky change the Movie Channel names? Last night the Pitch Perfect channel was renamed and this morning I've had to reboot the STB.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

And the issue is back again for me.  Seems to be weekly currently. Had to reboot the box last Wednesday and tonight once again I have the 'waiting for tv schedule' across my EPG for next Wednesday from 7pm. So none of my series links for today have picked up for next week. It might update itself overnight but it is a pain in the backside when for whatever reason it doesn't constantly update like it's supposed to. And nobody seems to know (nor care)  why this happens (maybe because it's not a customer wide issue I imagine)

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

I suspect it is a customer-wide issue but we just don't know and Sky isn't saying or doing anything to fix it. In addition to our main Sky Q box, we have 3 puks, and we've never had this problem before, but we've now been 'waiting for TV schedule' for 2 days. We can't record anything and are having to work off a list of channel numbers when we want to watch live. Fortunately we watch no more than a dozen different channels, but because there is rarely anything worth watching most evenings, we record and use Netflix/Prime. But every so often see something in tne schedule we think will be worth watching. We've wasted so much time following the Sky 'fix' processes, and it's a real pain.
