Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Same for me. Had to reboot main Q box yesterday and mini tonight as it's schedule was blank....unlike "Waiting for......blah"

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

And here I am again 🙄

I've had almost an entire THREE WEEKS of working EPG. Mainly because at the beginning of the month my house was rewired so my Sky q boxes and my internet router were unplugged for three days and once they were reconnected, everything was actually working as it should (imagine that?!) and I was starting to think that maybe, just maybe the issue had finally been resolved for me but today, my EPG for next Monday evening- apart from itv1 weirdly, from 7pm is 'waiting for tv schedule'

Usually my EPG has updated by now so that any series links for next week (Monday i this case) will pick up but experience tells me that if it hasn't updated by now then chances are it won't at all without another blasted reboot.

Here I go again, I'll probably be back either through this week or sometime next week to report the issue once more.

Got to say. Being able to say "Alexa turn sky a off" and then back on again. Game changer.  Having just screwed up my neck it's saved me rummaging around at the back of my AV cabinet.  Easy win. Zero stress.

One solution but it shouldn't be needed. If Sky did their job, it would be sorted.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Hello again. Guess what? Yeah, my EPG from 7pm next Sunday is 'waiting for tv schedule' 🙄 so none of my series links for next Sunday have picked up. Now it may update very late as it did last time (right before I went to reboot the box funnily enough) or it may not but I haven't had any issues with the EPG since my last post and I had honestly thought it had resolved for me. It's frustrating that it still rears  it's head.

My boxes are set to eco.

Have the latest software.

Have good satellite connection 80 on one and 90 on the other.

My internet is perfect.

I still think there's a bug in the meta data issue though what do I know, nobody in the Sky tech dept seems interested in looking into why this happens at all because it's only affecting a few customers and not every one (I was only barely affected by the blank tiles/non stacking issue)

Whatever it is.... grrrr!! It is a pain in the bum that no one seems to know why it occurs, even if someone with know how of the issue had an explanation of why it happens, that would be something!

Mine is still loosing the EPG on a random basis. I have tried to look for a pattern but there doesn't seem to be one. Please SKY investigate. It is a real pain having to reboot all the time to restore it.

How is your signal on channel 999? That channel is broadcast on the same frequency as the EPG data. If the signal is poor you might not be receiving EPG data properly. If it looks OK keep checking as any signal fault may be intermittent.

Signal and quality are good.  Even if there are some strength issues, it should refresh when there is a good signal. It doesn't. It just sits there till rebooted then it is fine.

Channel  999 on my EPG  is 'waiting for tv schedule' from 7pm next Sunday unless I'm misunderstanding? In the settings section, the signals are 80 and 90.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Back again. Second time this week I'm 'waiting for tv schedule' because my EPG hasn't updated for next Thursday which means my series links tonight will not pick up until I reboot the box for the issue to be (temporarily) resolved 😒

Some customers on the non stacking/blank tiles thread are reporting that their soaps aren't stacking properly again. Weird that my EPG issues have resumed at the same time. Weird coincidence right? 🙄

I would love to know what could be causing this. It's an annoyance that I had thought had been sorted for me. Apparently it's not.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Oooh hold the front page!!! ONE channel has currently updated on the entire EPG for next Thursday and that page is...drumroll please.... BBC TWO HD.

(yes I'm being sarcastic... 😉 but only that channel has currently updated so far. Can't reboot til much later as my ASD/SLD son is watching tv on his mini box in his bedroom and does *not*  like it when I have to unplug the main box to reboot- have to wait til he's in bed)

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

My mini box in my bedroom has updated and my first series link has picked up.

However my main box EPG is still showing 'waiting for tv schedule'. I thought that if the main box was showing a 'waiting for tv schedule' message then the mini boxes would also (they're wifi connected)

Curioser and curioser... 🤨

I was under that impression too. I have never seen the EPG on the mini ahead of the main box.

@Greytide17  Same- however my main box has  (finally) only *just* updated.

Re: Issue with "Waiting for Schedule" several time a week.

Had to reboot my box last night as the EPG only showed three channels updated (BBC2, ITV1 and Legend channel) so it would seem I'm probably back on the reboot the box weekly schedule again 🙄
