Issue with mini box slow to respond when fast forwarding and rewinding

When I try to play any recording on mini box it's slow to play it goes black, it then won't respond to the fast forwarding or rewinding, it will then start to do and won't stop. This is the same on live TV as well, it's been un plugged I followed the reconnect to main box and turned that off as well, I can't get it to stop doing it, yes have tried new batteries etc... I really thought my TV was broke as can hear sound with a black screen, thus it led me to get rid of my TV a few days ago and replace it now is same issue, i stupidly didnt check the TV before I sent my 55inch Samsung TV to the tip. I'm gutted as I feel it wasn't even broke. 

How do i fix this problem I've seen few answers and the ones I have I did try already. How can I get technical help with this
