Is there a current free upgrade to Q on Sky, both installation and package?Writing Jan 24

Have had a Sky +HD box for years and recall an offer to upgrade for to Q. As the box is no supported any longer, thinking time to upgrade. Recall an offer - does anyone know whether still available and does it cover both installation and package?

Hi @CJL1 

Yes AFAIK SKY are still offering free upgrades to SKY Q from SKY HD - this covers the installation (but see my notes I mention below) .

I am not too sure what you may be thinking regarding package, although in the past it was possible to switch without making any change of package, I think now they are likely to switch you to SKY Signature and any associated equvalents - best to get them to spell out any changes

Note : Many people on old base packages actually save when switching to Signature

Note that 'free' has different meanings in this context: it can be no installation fee and no increased monthly cost, or no installation fee if an addition such as a Q Mini is made (resulting in increased monthly cost), or no change in subscription but a substantial fee for the hardware loan.
