Re: Recent email from director of sky Ireland JD Buckley

It’s worth noting that Sky is rolling out its internet-first strategy across Europe. In Germany, where they had a Sky Q streaming product (Sky Q over the internet, not satellite), they are in the process of updating those boxes to run the Sky OS that powers Glass, Stream, and all users are currently transitioning from Q to SkyOS.

I know we're not that market, but Sky is a joined up company and if you want a glimpse into the future, I think that might be it.

Re: Thank you

@Dobber1234 I don't think it's ever the intention for any member to make another feel bad or that they can't share an idea. I hope you know that not agreeing with you entirely isn't an attack or an attempt to silence you. I think your voice here is good to have and your perspective is valuable.

@Dobber1234  You don't need to create another thread about the same subject.

For clarity The Astra satellites will run out of fuel by 2030, there is no way to extend the life of them, regardless of your interpretation of the email you received.  It's going to happen.

Your latest post/thread has been removed due to you campaigning and has been flagged to the community managers.

I would suggest you read the community rules here

And creating thread after thread on the same subject can be viewed as spamming the board or trolling as you've been given the answer.

Posters are also entitled to their views/opinions and can criticise the posts within the community rules, it works both ways, maybe if you posted only once also?

As long as we conform to the Community rules we can pass on our opinions and knowledge.

if you think I'm barking up the wrong tree that's fine but just say it once

Im afraid that works both ways.

I pay them thousands a year just like everyone else here I am entitled to my opinion and to repeat it as many times as I wish thank you

That would also breach the community rules.

@Dobber1234  You're been advised before that this is a public forum and people will post positive, negative and critical posts, you can't stop them but you can choose to ignore them

🤨

I have to say, given the current geopolitical, climate change and wealth inequality crises we are facing, if the biggest thing I had to be concerned about over the next 5 years was which cable carried the bitstream for my telly programs, I'd be pretty chuffed with life.
