Have just upgraded from Sky+ to Sky Q. Previously I would switch on the TV and it would go straight to the Sky channel I was watching the night before. But now when switching on, the first screen to appear is the TV makers (Samsung in my case) Home Screen.
I then have to navigate to the Sky button on that screen. Can this screen be bypassed ?

Thanks guys - problem solved !
As suggested I went into the Samsung TV settings and, under Smart Hub, was able to select the option 'Launch the last used app automatically'. This works !
thanks

Sorry @neil-45 but is a deliberate choice by SKY to always show the home screen where they can 'push' content

Within your TV settings there should be one that sets the input you wish to start with, and another that turns off automatically going to the smart hub and also Samsung plus.
Usually it is Settings > General > Smart Features..

It's not Sky in this case but the TV (Samsung)'s home screen
