When I switch on my Sky box, the TV Guide automatically appears
Is there an option for the TV Guide not to automatically be displayed every time I turn on my Sky box?
Thank you in advance

Hi @Walt+Jabsco
When you switch on the Q box you should get the Home page and this cannot be changed.
Do you have Sky Q?

Yes I have Sky Q. I have to turn off the TV Guide whenever I switch it on, as I prefer to just select the channel I need manually.

Hi @Walt+Jabsco
Suggest you take another look when you switch the box on.
It is the Home page that you get and not the TV Guide.

Yes - either way - it's the home page/TV guide that I don't want displayed as it means I have to turn it off every time

It's one press of the dismiss button.

Unfortunately @Walt+Jabsco SKY have a different view.
It is a deliberate decision that we must always have the Home page where they can push any content they wish

As per the first reply, it can't be changed.

Hi @Walt+Jabsco
Best thing to do when you press Standby to turn the Q box on just follow that by pressing the Dismiss button (left of Home button).
When the Q box comes on it will be on the last channel watched and not the Home Screen

Yes, obviously. Which is why I asked the question about how I can avoid doing that.

Hi @Walt+Jabsco You can't. That is unless you apply a 3rd party solution like a harmony hub. When I switch on Sky Q using a Harmony Elite it always goes to the last channel viewed because I have programmed the Dismiss button into the start sequence.

I asked the question - on a forum to help Sky users - as I don't want to have to press another button every time I turn on my Sky box
