Is cable over roof obsolete now I have Sky Q?

My dish and main Q box are at the back of the house. There is a cable which goes over the roof to the front. Is this cable now obsolete as I have a mini box in the front of the house? Roofer is recommending the cable is removed if no longer in use.

If the cable is not connected to anything then it would seem obsolete.  (i.e. the main box is fed from the back of the house)

 

The mini box connects wirelessly to the main Q box.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
