Internet fine in house, Sky box disagrees

I don't use a Sky Router, their fibre hasn't reached our village yet.  So I am using a Voneus provider and their Zyxel box.

 

i am writing this with internet access wich is fine throughout the house, but under settings section of my SkyQ box says that my network is not connected.  Every 5 mins or so, it connects and I get a pair of ticks for about a minute and then it drops.

 

i have tried wired connection to my router and Wi-Fi but the symptoms are still the same.

 

Did advanced and put my SkyQ box IP address to no avail.

 

getting a bit grumpy now as I have no access to Catch up, On Demand, Best of, Apps, etc

 

look forward to some advice

Have you worked through the steps here? https://www.sky.com/help/articles/sky-q-permanent-connectivity-problems 

 

If so, have you ensured the Q box is up to date? https://www.sky.com/help/articles/updating-sky-box-software-sky-q 

 

If so, you might want to try a factory reset. Sky will make you do most of this stuff anyway before sending a replacement or organising an engineer.

I think there is a bug that has been introduced. I'm having the same issue

Thanks for your email.  It has taken me a while and unfortunately none of the soluitions appear to work.

I have even run a cable direct from router to the box, still to no avail

Worth a shot, might be time for an engineer then. 

I would contact Sky and keep an eye on this thread just in case anyone else has a suggestion.
