Main box and one mini on full Ethernet here with two further minis on Devolo Powerline on BT broadband.
All Q Box WiFi off and ECO mode on all Q boxes. No network issues here.
Since wifi is switched off on the Sky boxes, this doesn't seem relevant to them dropping their hotspot function during their overnight sleep cycle?

Situation is a disgrace, Sky will be getting contacted and utterly interrogated, and I will *NOT* pay a single penny for an internet-killer!
Very little point 'utterly interrogating' a script-reading call centre person who was at school when Q was released: it's a nine year old system approaching its end of life. Ceasing payment simply results in complete suspension of service and debt accruing.

No, my game device is connected wirelessly to the Sky router as it should, not the Sky Q box.

I will be doing everything I can to extract every ounce of information and answers from whatever unlucky human beings I have to deal with via Sky. It doesn't matter about the age of the system: what kind of company gives out a machine that actually *cuts out* internet on your other devices?! I don't even *want* to know how that is even possible, because it is absurdly stupid. I just want the problem to end, now!
Are you being serious? Complete suspension of an internet-killing service is exactly the whole idea. Obviously a contract will be completed if cannot be waived and is legally absolute, but not a penny more if this is not fixed.

Then unplug it while you negotiate exit. Not paying the bill puts you in financial and legal jeopardy while resolving absolutely nothing: Sky won't even talk to you if the balance is in deficit, but each month lands you further in debt.

Do you know that for certain? Have you tried disabling the Q hot spot?

@TimmyBGoodI will certainly be unplugging it, especially through the night, if this isn't fixed. I didn't say anything about not paying bills that I am legally obligated to pay. Waiving can happen. Contract endings happen. Then other providers *can* happen.

@PandJ2020 the game device only has one internet connection set up: directly to the router, wirelessly, using the router password. It is not possible for the game device to automatically connect to random hotspots in the airwaves, as you would need to go to settings and deselect or delete the current connection, then actually create a new connection for any hotspots, which I have never attempted with the Sky Q box. To be honest I am barely aware of any hotspot option in Sky Q. Is it always active by default?

Where Sky is the ISP and there's a Q Hub or Sky Broadband Hub in use as the router, unless the WiFi on the Q boxes is switched off manually.

The whole point of the hotspot is that it extends your router SSID transparently ao you don't manually change it. I think you can turn the hotspot feature off though.
