Installing sky cable building of extension

Hello all,

I am not currently a sky member, but want to be once my extension is built. I want to have satellite incase the internet goes down, but don't want the cable installed after the build as it will just run along the floor.

I called new customer and they said ask technical support and gave me a number, but it asks for my account details. Does anyone know what number I can call or what cable is needed?

Thanks,

Matt

Hi @MLilley1985

No reason why you cannot pre install your own cable.  A twin run of WF100 cable is ideal for Q.

make sure you have surplus at Dish position end and also at the intended location of your main television.

Just to be clear, you are referring to TV?  As Sky does not provide any internet access via satellite dish.

If TV, also bear in mind the days of satellite TV are numbered...

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

Hi both,

Thank you both for your replies.

Yep, I am referring to the satellite tv, not the internet. I'll look into your comment about the days of satellite TV are numbered mind.

hi @MLilley1985

There are a few years left but the Satellites at 28.2 will run out of fuel towards the end of this decade
