Impossible to get an engineer out to fix broadband and SkyQ connection

My SKY Q box conection has dropped and I have tried everything to reconnect with no luck, eventually I have managed to book an engineer, but this is sor 2 weeks away!!! this customer service is awful, we have had to call SKY again the next day as the wifi keeps dropping and we both work form home, after an hour of trying things that didn't work, we now have to wait 3 days for someone to call us to tell us when an engineer can call!! shocking!! This is not how you should be running things SKY!! Seriously looking for alternative to SKY as this is sooooo stressful.

The engineer availability is not down to Sky if Openreach are required. You will have been given the earliest available date in your area. You have to remember the Sky Broadband is a domestic service so gives no priority for repairs to those wfh. Openreach claim to fix faults in 2 working days in 85% of cases. Unfortunately the auto compensation scheme only applies for a full outage.

I'd add that you appear to be mixing up two different issues, which can be very counterproductive.

If Q television is dropping a WiFi connection, that's a Sky issue and they can take a long time to get around to it, particularly as they are currently cutting the number of satellite television staff they employ.

Broadband failing to arrive at the address is an Openreach issue which, as @Daniel0210 indicates, has a much shorter target time to fix.
