No, but you won't be able to play them if they depend on a HD/UHD subscription.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

As mentioned you would lose access to any Recordings that your subscription no longer covers. They would remain on your box and be available again if you resubscribe.
