Managed to get through to Sky and after 20 mins have told it will be Royal Mail and they will text me a time slot for delivery.
Let's hope that's correct and I get a text - have to work tomorrow but with notice I can be home to take delivery .....

Had a replacement Q box sent and received an email from Royal Mail saying when they would deliver and asking if I wanted to alter delivery which I did as I was away for a few days but they still delivered on the original date, good job a neighbour saw them. Sky agent told me all recording on original box were stored on the cloud and would be transferred to ne wbox, They were not na dwhen I phoned sky I was told the truth, you lose recordings. I have a complaint in at present amd new Q box back in packaging.

They may have be referring to purchases which can be re-downloaded to the new box.
As has always been the case recordings are lost.

So if you don't intend to use it you may have a problem cancelling your subscription. If you’re out of contract you’ll need to give Sky the required 31 days notice. The latest T’s and C’s explicitly state you can’t cancel when still in a minimum term deal unless Sky agree. If they agree you’ll have to pay the remainder of your discounted term.

You can complain about the misinformation, but it won't facilitate transfer of stored content: there's simply no mechanism for that.
